Washing and maintaining a starched cotton saree requires special attention to preserve its crisp texture and vibrant look. Cotton is durable, but starch adds stiffness that can be lost with careless washing. Here's a complete guide:
🧼 How to Wash a Starched Cotton Saree
🔹 Step 1: Shake Off Dust
Before washing, shake the saree gently to remove surface dust or particles.
🔹 Step 2: Soak in Plain Water
Soak in cold water for 5–10 minutes to loosen dirt. Avoid hot water, as it can fade colors and break down starch faster.
🔹 Step 3: Hand Wash Only
Use a mild detergent like Ezee, Safewash, or a baby shampoo. Avoid strong soaps like Surf or Rin bars.
Do not scrub, brush, or wring. Gentle rub on stained areas.
🔹 Step 4: Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse 2–3 times in clean cold water to remove all detergent. In the last rinse, you can add starch if desired.
✨ Reapplying Starch at Home
🥣 Homemade Rice Starch (Traditional)
Boil rice with extra water. When the rice is 80% cooked, drain the excess water (called kanji).
Let it cool and strain.
Dip the washed saree in the starch water. Squeeze gently
Tip: For extra crispness, don’t squeeze too much.
🌤 Drying Tips
Hang to dry in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Hang by the corners to prevent deep creases. Avoid using clips on the saree body—clip the edge or pallu instead.
🧺 Storage & Maintenance
Iron before folding to maintain crisp pleats. Store in a muslin or cotton bag (not plastic). Keep in a dry place, away from moisture.
Refold every 2–3 months to avoid permanent creases on folds. Use neem leaves or camphor sachets to repel insects naturally.

• Machine washing or tumble drying.
• Bleach or harsh chemical detergents.
• Hanging in direct sunlight.
• Ironing with high heat directly on the fabric.
• Rough handling of product.
• Using of hot water, Do not scrub, brush, or wring.

Refunds & Exchanges

Refunds are issued only for parcels received in damaged condition, processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after approval.

In other cases, we issue a coupon code (valid for 90 days) for your next purchase.

If the courier parcel looks damaged on arrival, please do not accept it. Ask the courier to return it immediately.
